Crashes and Will Not Force Quit in Sierra

I liked this software before but ever since OS X Sierra this needs an update. I’ve had several instances now where the software stops responding and will not quit even when using force quit in the dock, menu bar, and command line— preventing the user from logging out or restarting the computer. The only solution I found was to uninstall the software while it is locked up and then run a command that forces all applications to close and logs the user out.

Without an update I’d avoid this if you are using Sierra. This has been tested and is reproducible on two different macs, a 2009 iMac and a 2014 macbook Pro, so it seems to be a software issue that arose since Sierra.
