Good app, better options if you want compression as well

This does what it does quite well, supports darn near every format out there, and the price is right. Makes it super easy to extract just a few files from an archive. Perfect for restoring backups or updating web applications when you dont want to un-tar the whole thing. The new services option also makes this a drop-in replacement for any other un-archiving program.

If youre looking for something that also handles compression and archive editing, take a look at BetterZip. Given that the latter is $20, this may be all you need or want.
